Troy "Bo" Dosser Obituary

Troy Dewayne "Bo" Dosser, a cherished son, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away on Sunday, the 5th day of January 2025 at Providence Hospital in Waco, Texas at the age of 52. Born on the 26th day of June 1972, in Dallas, Texas, to parents Troy Doc Dosser and Kathy Simmons, Bo was a beacon of joy and generosity to all who knew him.

Growing up in Crossroads, Texas, Bo graduated high school in 1991, leaving behind a legacy of kindness and camaraderie that would follow him throughout his life. For the past five years, Bo resided at the Fairfield Nursing Home, where he was a beloved member of the community. His face would light up with joy whenever his cousin Melissa Brown came to visit, taking him out for meals and shopping trips that he cherished deeply.

Bo's interests were as big-hearted as his personality. He was an avid fan of Westerns, relishing the tales of bravery and adventure that unfolded on the screen. Football season was a special time for Bo, with his unwavering support for the Dallas Cowboys evident to all who shared game days with him. Music was another passion, with Country tunes often providing the soundtrack to his life. Above all, Bo loved to be in the presence of his family, enjoying good food and lively conversation. His loving and giving nature made every gathering brighter.

He is preceded in death by his father Troy Doc Dosser; grandparents, Doris Worley, Doyle Simmons, and Clarence and Dora Thompson.

Bo is survived by his mother, Kathy Smith, who remembers him as a beacon of love and kindness. His sisters, Pamela Hill and her husband Joe, as well as Trena Martin and her husband Larry, recall Bo's thoughtfulness and how he always put others before himself. His nephews, Billy Ryan McClintock, Dylan Lee Gill, and Caleb Smith, along with his great-niece Adela Gill, will miss his playful spirit and the joy he brought to their lives. Bo also leaves behind numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and a host of friends who were all touched by his gentle soul.

Funeral services to celebrate Bo’s life are to be conducted at two o’clock in the afternoon on Wednesday, the 8th day of January 2025 at Cornerstone Worship Center of Palestine with Pastor Larry Martin officiating the service. Interment will follow in Post Oak Cemetery, in Crossroads, Texas.

Friends are invited to visit with the family one hour prior to the start of the service at Cornerstone Worship Center.

The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Fairfield Nursing Home, especially his devoted nurse Jennifer, for their compassionate care.
