Truman Earl LaMaster, age 77, of Elkhart, Texas, passed away on February 19, 2026, at Palestine Regional Hospital, encircled by the warmth of his family. He was born on July 20, 1948, in Bogata, Texas to parents Talma LaMaster and Jewell Howell LaMaster.
Truman was a man who found happiness in the everyday. He was a craftsman at heart, always happiest when working with his hands, whether fixing a broken toy for a grandchild or tinkering around the house on a project that would bring a smile to someone's face. His love for his family was the cornerstone of his life, and he cherished every moment spent with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, whose numbers filled his life with joy and laughter. Truman also enjoyed reading his Bible daily.
He is preceded in death by his parents Talma and Jewell LaMaster; son, Esau LaMaster; sister, Connie Humphrey; brothers, Tommy LaMaster, and John LaMaster.
Left to cherish the memories are his loving wife of 35 years, Debra LaMaster; daughters, Jenifer Copeland, Melody Standeford, Jamie Lathrop; sons, Brandon LaMaster, John LaMaster, Clinton LaMaster, Carey White; sisters, Audry Chase and husband Tom, and Violet Bubb. He will also be remembered by his adoring twenty grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren.
