William Wesley “Bill” Hart, age 83, of Palestine, Texas a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, the 20th day of September 2023. He was born in Kempner, Texas on the 13th day of May 1940, to parents Ira Jackson Hart and Elsie Baird Hart. Bill lived a life full of love, laughter, and service.
Bill was a proud veteran, having served in the United States Air Force. He was dedicated to his service and carried the discipline and respect he learned in the military throughout his life. Upon retiring from the Air Force, Bill continued his career repairing electronics. His work ethic was unmatched, always striving for excellence and punctuality in all his endeavors.
Fishing was one of Bill's favorite pastimes. He found peace and tranquility in the gentle sway of the water and the patient wait for a catch. His fishing trips were a time for quiet reflection, relaxation, and occasionally, the excitement of a big catch.
Bill was loving, gentle, funny, and a man of few words. He was a hard worker who took pride in everything he did, always aiming for perfection. He had a strong sense of responsibility and was always punctual, believing that being on time was a sign of respect for others' time. His loving and gentle nature made him a favorite among friends and family, while his humor brought joy and laughter into their lives. His light will continue to shine in the memories we hold dear, and he will be greatly missed.
He joins in heaven his parents Ira and Elsie Hart; sisters, Margaret Taylor, and Linda Cox; brother, Ira Hart, Jr., and grandson Noah Hart.
Bill is survived by the love of his life, Barbara Ann Hart, with whom he shared 53 years of laughter, love, and countless precious memories. Their bond was a testament to their enduring love and commitment, a legacy they passed down to their son, Gregory "Greg" Hart, and his wife Deanne of Palestine. He was also a proud grandfather to Maddox Hart and his wife Nikki of Stephenville. Bill's love for his family was evident in every aspect of his life, and he took great joy in watching his family grow and thrive.
A funeral service to celebrate Bill’s life is to be conducted at eleven o’clock in the morning, on Tuesday, the 26th day of September 2023 in the Rhone Memorial Chapel with Bro. Rick Dees officiating. The family will hold a private interment at Kempner Cemetery.
Friends may visit with the family one hour prior to the start of service at Rhone Funeral Home.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Danny Hart, Blake Enax, Brad Macha, Charles Cochran, Charles Taylor, and Danny Taylor.
