William (Bud) Vivian Keeling, Jr. of Tucker, Texas, passed away the 28th day of July, 2018, peacefully in his home with his wife, Helen, of seventy-six years of marriage, by his side. Mr. Keeling was born the 6th day of August, 1922 to Henry Belah and Mary Anna Keeling and was a lifelong resident of Tucker, Texas, graduating from Woodhouse High School. He served honorably in the Army Signal Corp during World War II. After coming home, he went to work for Hunt Oil Company. After retiring from Hunt, he went to work for Glass Containers from which he also retired. His main lifelong interest was raising cattle and horses.
Mr. Keeling was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Mary Keeling; his sisters, Mildred Marie Ives and Reba Kluth; and his brother, Belah Keeling, Jr.
Mr. Keeling is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Helen Giles Keeling; sisters, Castione Boyd of Athens, Texas, Margie Ann Gilbreath of Tucker, Texas, Norma Dell Thorton of Tucker, Texas; brother, John Keeling of Flint, Texas and four generations of nieces and nephews who affectionately called him “Uncle Bud”.
Funeral services for William Vivian Keeling, Jr. will be conducted at ten o’clock in the morning on Thursday, the 2nd day of August, 2018 in the Rhone Memorial Chapel with Bro. Don Stanaland officiating. Interment will follow in Land of Memory Cemetery. Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family one hour prior to service at Rhone Funeral Home.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Wayne Baker, Jimmy Wayne Boyd, Steven Gilbreath, Tray Hammond, Michael Hudson and Ricky Cress. Honorary pallbearers will be John Fritz and Justin Morris.
