It is with heavy hearts that we announce the unexpected passing of Zachary Don Freeman who passed away on the 11th day of July 2025, at his home in Palestine, Texas. “Zach” as he was lovingly known was just 14 years old and had a bright future ahead. He was born in Virginia on the 9th day of June 2011, to his doting mother Jessica Springer.
Zach was a jokester who brought happiness to everyone around him. He was a student at Westwood Junior High and had just finished the eighth grade. Zach enjoyed school and was a member of the Junior High band. He had a love for computers and dreamed of the day he could begin working in cyber security. Video games were another passion for Zach, and he always looked forward to spending time with his friends gaming. Zach also loved to test his skills in the kitchen cooking and baking, and he could execute the most delicious German Chocolate Cake. Zach was loved by many and will be missed by all his family and friends.
Zach will always be remembered for his magnetic personality and love he had for others. He leaves behind his mother, Jessica Springer; uncles, Keith Palmer and Emmanuel Asahene; aunt, Kelli Palmer; his beloved dogs, Oreo and Zeus, along with multiple family members and many friends. He is preceded in death by his grandmother Bobbie Caskey and his brother Jesse Freeman.
