Floyd was one of the finest men I have ever met. He welcomed me to the community when I first arrived and provided me shelter until permanent arrangements could be made. My deepest sympathies to Miss Fannie, Miss Connie and all the Salmon family.

So sorry for your loss. I remember him from years ago as a young child going to swim and stay in cabins at Salmon Lake, and later to visit for family reunions and Bluegrass Festivals.

Never saw Floyd without a smile on his face ! All will surely miss him .

What a great friend. Floyd provided me numerous opportunites to provide the sound system for his giant Salmon Lake Bluegrass Festival in Grapeland, Texas. I will never forget the day I met his mom, she gave me a piece of fresh baked homemaid Pecan Pie. Every year after that she had a whole, fresh baked, pecan pie for me. Floyd was the same way; he was very giving. Many, many, great memories with the Salmon Family and The Salmon Lake Park Bluegrass Festival. Hi Tracy Salmon and Family. Love you all!!
